Week 35: How Can Jesus Be Fully God and Fully Human? (Hebrews 1-2)
  -

“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being…” (Hebrews 1.3)

Elder Bob Yamada joins Andrew on this week’s episode to explore the opening chapters of Hebrews. What does this book teach us about the uniqueness of Christ?

The book of Hebrews was written to early Jewish Christians. These believers were facing hardship and pressure and were being tempted to turn back from following Jesus. The writer’s response to them was simple: Take a closer look at Jesus!

Highlights from this episode:

  1. Why Jesus is God’s ultimate revelation of himself
  2. How Hebrews describes Jesus as fully divine and fully human
  3. How understanding Jesus helps us hold firmly to our faith

Listener question this week:

  • Why does Scripture say God “left” Hezekiah to test him? (2 Chronicles 32.31)
